Academy for Cultural Diplomacy
Once per year, international experts gather in Tbilisi in order to deliver interactive lectures about European culture and values to young people living in Georgia. Participants are selected by a special committee, on the bases of motivation letters. An important part of the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy is a cultural program where young people participating in the project have the opportunity to watch films, attend theatre plays and visit exhibitions.
In total 50 young people, including ethnic minorities, have participated in the first edition of Academy in 2017.Lectures were given by international experts and culture professionals, such as Ambassador Karl-Erik Norrman (Co-founder and secretary general of European Cultural Parliament), Dr. Marie-Louise von Plessen (Senator of European Cultural Parliament), famous Georgian artist Ms. Rusudan Petviashvili among others.
