Democracy Fitness

WHAT: Democracy Fitness is an active training concept. The exercises are targeting a number of democracy muscles, that we all poses. “Muscles” that – if trained – can make you better at engaging in democracy. Nothing more, nothing less! WHY: Democracy needs participation to be strong. To participate we need to be strong democrats. To be strong democrats we need awareness of and exercise in democratic values and abilities. It doesn’t fall in your lap by accident. Like the muscles in your body needs exercise to be strong – your democracy muscles also need exercise. Exerise it and thereby make it stronger. All sessions are designed after modern learning principles. In the project we want to gather and train fitness trainers and give them the methods and competences to choose muscles, design training and train citizens from their own context.
